Grandma and Strategic Planning

Grandma's here (aka, my mother-in-law).

We go to Parksville tomorrow to see my parents.

It's a family holiday like Franklin's never had.
A hotel room!
A car trip!
A Mom getting car-sick as she furiously finishes her assignment en route because she has a summary due at 9 pm, this Friday...

Sigh.

It's so hard to enjoy family outings, weekends, trips to the grocery store when at the back of your mind is STUDY STUDY STUDY.... what are you thinking about cilantro for?!?!

YOU HAVE TO S T U D Y

Of course, I'm trying to get it done before we leave, but preparing a summary of a strategic plan found on the internet (to be accessible to all the other students) is not a simple flip of the hand.
It's interesting - but when you're trying to do it at the same time as hanging out with your Mother-in-law, it's confusing and scattered. I know she would be perfectly happy if I completely ignored her and did my studies, but I just don't feel comfortable doing that. We rarely see each other or talk on the phone as it is (I hate talking on the phone). In fact, Dickson and I will be married for 7 years this June and I still don't think I know her much more than that first visit when I drank too much of Grandpa's home-made wine.

So, I'm trying to use breaks and lunch hours and trips on the bus to my full advantage. Nevertheless, if I have to hand this in while in Parksville, I need a good internet cafe that will be open until 9pm and is relatively cheap.

Suggestions?

I'm worried it closes too early - but i'll definitely be checking that out. Thanks.

I'm going to ask at the hotel too.

So the hotel has internet in their "breakfast nook" from 11AM until 9:30PM. So, I'm set. I'm writing the sumary tonight, looking it over tomorrow in the car and submitting it tomorrow evening.

Of course, if anything goes wrong, I'll be freaking out - but that's not out of the ordinary.

I can't believe you've been married seven years. Holy cow, Batman. :)
